A westerly airflow lies over the country tonight, the North Island is fairly dry after showers clear this evening in the north and east. For the South Island expect some rain in the west and clear skies out east.

Showers clear this evening with a southwest change, clear spells and some cloud overnight with southwesterlies easing.

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island
Areas of rain or showers clearing this evening, clear spells and some cloud overnight with westerly winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 6-11

Eastern North Island
Some brief rain possible late this afternoon or early evening then clearing as strong northwesterlies change westerly. Skies clearing up overnight with winds easing.
Tonight’s Lows: 8-10

Western North Island
Areas of cloud breaking to clear spells this evening, strong westerly winds ease a little overnight.

Clear spells develop this evening, mainly clear overnight. Northerly winds.
