Thick fog and low cloud is affecting air travel in and out of Auckland domestic airport this morning.  Airline websites show a number of flights cancelled or delayed.

WeatherWatch.co.nz predicts the fog may linger until mid to late morning in some suburbs with almost no wind to blow it away.

The fog is being caused by a large high that is centred over the North Island.

Please check your airline website for the status of your flight.
