Light winds and afternoon cloud build ups have seen some summer-like looking clouds over the upper North Island this afternoon, with downpours in Northland and northern Auckland – and some impressive clouds from Auckland to Bay of Plenty.

The right angle and a creative mind – and voila, we have some afternoon cloud build ups giving the impression the extinct volcano is erupting.
