Civil Defence urges kiwis – ‘stay ready for disaster’

What would you do in a disaster?

That is the question being raised by Civil Defence as part of the annual nationwide Get Ready Week.

From the 21st until the 27th of September Get Ready Week aims to encourage New Zealanders to prepare themselves for a potential disaster.

Northland Regional Councillor and Civil Defence representative, Paul Dimery says Northlanders will be asked to share their tips on coping with the recent storms. 

Mr Dimery says everyone has their own unique skills to help get their community get through a disaster.
