Cairns: Chance of a shower. Max 29 

Brisbane: Rain off and on later. Max 27

Sydney: Rain with a chance of thunder. Max 23

Canberra: Risk of a shower or 2. Max 22

Melbourne: Mostly sunny. Max 23

Adelaide: Sunny and warm. Max 29

Perth: Chance of a thunderstorm. Max: 29

Darwin: Shower or t/storm later. Hot. Max: 34 

Overall the ‘ lucky country ‘ is in for a fairly damp day but the brightest spots are in the south and west.
