Rain or showers are beginning to spread themselves slowly over parts of New Zealand this morning and could come and go today.

Michele reports”Steady rain in Massey at present wonderful” and Tania posted “its steady normal rain in Helensville , North Auckland!!!! its nice and cool as well”.

Another Aucklander said”North Shore – getting good solid steady rain (not the silly drizzle of yesterday). Hope it continues for as long as possible.”

Other areas also have only seen a drop or two this morning..”Oh please send some to Dannevirke……..We had some big spots and then nothing…said a disappointed Bec.
“Few spits here in Mid Canty and let’s pray for more” said Jason.

“A few spits of rain starting in Kapiti. Ground still dry,but here’s hoping St Paddy’s Day turns into St Pour’s Down day!”…well said Melissa.

Nelson is also seeing rain this morning as well as Palmy North, Masterton and New Plymouth.Oamaru and Timaru have also seen some lighter falls.

More centres should see some wet stuff before the day is out but it’s still looking variable in terms of amounts at this point. Thanks for your reports and please keep them coming.
