Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Partly cloudy with a few showers, southwesterly winds. The Bay Of Plenty has a mainly dry day with the risk of a shower in the morning.
Highs: 14-15

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly cloudy with the odd shower, clearing by evening. Long dry spells too. Southwesterly winds die out later on.
Highs: 9-14

Eastern North Island
A few showers about Wairarapa spreading further north by midday as southwesterlies freshen, some sun before showers move in. Conditions dry out in the evening.
Highs: 12-14

Wellington
Morning showers then sunny spells develop. Southerly winds.
High: 10

Marlborough & Nelson
Mostly cloudy about Marlborough with southeasterly winds tending northeast in the afternoon. Nelson has a mainly sunny morning then afternoon cloud as southwesterly winds tend northerly.
Highs: 11-13

Canterbury
Chance of a morning shower then sunny spells increase. Southwesterly winds, fresh about the coast, dying out in the evening.
Highs: 7-9

West Coast
Mostly sunny for South Westland, morning showers clear North Westland then sunny spells increase. A shower or two may hang about Buller through till evening. Light winds tend southwest.
Highs: 10-12

Southland & Otago
Mostly cloudy about Southland and coastal Otago with the odd shower (coastal Otago drying out from afternoon). Low level snow flurries in the morning then lifting, accumulations will be minimal to non existent so nothing to worry about. Central Otago may see a morning shower otherwise mainly dry with sunny spells. Cold west to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 6-9
