A low continues to sit west of the country today directing a northeasterly airflow over New Zealand.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Chance of a shower or two, mainly in the morning then drying out in the afternoon with a few sunny spells breaking through, northeasterly winds.
Highs: 24-26

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Morning rain eases then clears, a chance of afternoon sunny spells. East to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 22-26

Eastern North Island
Morning cloud breaks to sunny spells, some morning rain about the Wairarapa then clearing to some afternoon sun. Northeasterly winds.
Highs: 22-24

Wellington
Morning rain clears then some afternoon sun breaks through, northeasterly winds.
High: 22

Marlborough & Nelson
Cloudy with some patchy rain, dry areas for coatal Marlborough from afternoon. Northeasterly winds.
Highs: 20-21

Canterbury
Cloudy with some rain, clearing later in the evening or overnight. Some parts near the coast may become fairly dry from afternoon. Northeasterly winds.
Highs: 15-18

West Coast
Periods of rain. East to northeasterly winds, breezy about some coastal parts.
Highs: 17-21

Southland & Otago
Sunny areas and some high cloud with north to northeasterly winds, breezy about coastal Otago.
Highs: 19-23
