A west to southwesterly airflow lies over the country again tonight, showers for many in the west of both islands and the far south of the South Island. Showers intensify in the west of the South Island later this evening as a front moves through, the odd shower moves up the east coast overnight.

Cloudy periods with the odd shower, brisk west to southwest winds easing this evening. Mainly dry about eastern Northland

Periods of cloud with the odd shower, breezy westerlies.

Western North Island

Cloudy periods with the odd shower, west to northwest winds.
