A low pressure system lies off to the east of the country tonight, generally speaking most places will not be affected by this low apart from some lingering cloud about Wellington through to Hawkes Bay. Elsewhere is looking clear with light winds, becoming a bit nippy overnight with a few fog patches possible too.

Auckland & Northland
Periods of cloud clearing away this evening, light southwesterlies. Chance of a fog patch or two by dawn.

Bay Of Plenty

Clear skies, light winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 8-9

Waikato & Central North Island

Mainly clear skies, some cloud with the chance of a shower south of Lake
Taupo clearing this evening. There may be some fog about by dawn tomorrow.
Tonight’s Lows: 2-4

Eastern North Island

Periods of cloud with the odd shower about the Wairarapa and possibly
Hawkes Bay. Any showers about the Hawkes Bay clear this evening, the odd one may
hang about Wairarapa overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 6-7

Western North Island

Periods of cloud with light westerlies. Mainly clear skies about northern
Taranaki with westerlies easing overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 6-8

Wellington

Periods of cloud with light winds, tending southerly from this
evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 8-9

Nelson

Clear skies, light winds. Chance of an overnight fog patch.
Tonight’s Low: 5-6

Marlborough

Clear skies with easterlies easing this evening. Chance of some overnight
fog.
Tonight’s Lows: 2-3

Canterbury

Mainly clear skies with light winds inland, some cloud near the coast
clearing away this evening with southwesterlies easing.

West Coast

Clear skies, light winds.
