The weathermap.com link goes to a link farm. Was hoping for a site where the Google Earth overlays can be downloaded.

The Herald made a typo with that website address today – it’s http://www.WeatherMap.CO.NZ (not com!). Scroll to the bottom of the page and you’ll find Google Earth overlays to use.

Looking at the map, no wonder there are huge swells in Southern ocean. Looks to be a nasty patch of weather looming.
