#PikeRiver – Weather conditions, which today stopped helicopters from accessing Pike River Mine, are slowly improving reports WeatherWatch.co.nz.

Low cloud hampered aerial efforts today and while cloud is still remaining this evening conditions overnight and especially tomorrow should be much better.

Conditions are now dry with clouds likely to clear or lift over the coming 12 hours.

Sunday’s forecast calls for some cloud and a few showers but conditions are unlikely to be as widespread as they were today.
