Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
A mix of sun and cloud for Northland and Auckland with light winds then afternoon sea breezes. The Waikato and inland Bay Of Plenty sees cloudier skies with the odd shower or spit of rain especially afternoon / evening.
Highs: 25-27

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Patchy rain or showers, light winds.
Highs: 20-23

Eastern North Island
There may be some morning sun then becoming cloudy by midday with developing southerlies, the odd shower or drizzle patch from afternoon.
Highs: 20-26

Wellington
Cloudy with the odd shower, south to southeasterly winds.
High: 18

Marlborough & Nelson
Cloudy with the odd shower or drizzle patch, east to southeasterly winds.
Highs: 17-18

Canterbury
Mostly cloudy, patchy rain spreads southwards to about Banks Peninsula in the evening then further southwards overnight. Southerlies tend easterly in the afternoon.
Highs: 13-16

West Coast
Mostly sunny about South Westland with developing high cloud. North Westland sees some morning sun then cloud thickens and lowers around midday, patchy rain develops in the afternoon. Light winds.
Highs: 18-21

Southland & Otago
Cloudy areas, light winds tend east to southeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 14-17
