Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
A mix of sun and cloud with clouds thickening later, odd evening shower then rain overnight. West to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 16-18

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Sunny areas and thickening cloud, the odd light shower possible about Taranaki from midday then elsewhere in the evening. Northwesterly winds.
Highs: 12-16

Eastern North Island
Sunny, some high cloud later in the day. Northwesterly winds.
Highs: 16-18

Wellington
Increasing cloud, the odd shower from late afternoon. Strengthening northwesterly winds.
High: 14

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny areas and some high cloud, a few spots of rain possible in the afternoon especially for Nelson. Northwesterly winds, breezy about Marlborough.
Highs: 14-17

Canterbury
Some high cloud, there may be a few showers or spots of rain overnight as northwesterly winds change west to southwest.
Highs: 15-17

West Coast
Showers, heavy rain about South Westland in the morning spreads northwards in the afternoon. Rain eases back to showers later in the evening as northwest winds change southwest.
Highs: 12-13

Southland & Otago
Mostly cloudy with the odd shower, chance of a heavy shower in the afternoon (more so about Southland) then clearing in the evening. Northwesterly winds.
Highs: 12-14
