The ‘high pressure sandwich’ continues

The ‘sandwich’ of high pressure around the country at the moment continues – meaning it’s largely dry around New Zealand, with light winds around the place.

There are some light easterlies in Northland, along with light westerlies down in Southland.
Late rain sets in for Southland, Fiordland, South Westland and Western Otago – Queenstown, but not Dunedin.
