Anticyclonic conditions for most of New Zealand today, a westerly airflow about the lower South Island. A weak front over Northland slowly breaks away.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Morning cloud breaks then sunny spells increase, the Bay Of Plenty has a mostly sunny day. Northland has showers, easing and clearing in the afternoon. Southwesterly winds.
Highs: 15-16

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Cloudy areas and occasional sunny spells, sun a little more frequent from afternoon. Light winds tend west to southwest by midday.
Highs: 10-15

Eastern North Island
Mostly sunny, a few clouds periods about. Perhaps a light shower or two about Gisborne in the morning then clearing. Light winds tend onshore in the afternoon.
Highs: 13-15

Wellington
Mostly sunny, cloud a little more frequent in the afternoon. Light winds.
High: 14

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny, light winds tend north to northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 14-16

Canterbury
Mostly sunny, light winds tend east to northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 12-13

West Coast
Morning cloud then mostly sunny, may be an early coastal shower which clears. Southwesterly winds.
Highs: 12-14

Southland & Otago
Sunny spells increase from morning about Southland, mostly sunny by afternoon. There may be a coastal morning shower then mainly dry. Otago has a mainly sunny day. West to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 12-15
