A front clears northeastern parts of the country this morning then expect a westerly quarter airflow.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Early rain eases to showers, some may be heavy then clearing in the evening. Some sun at times. Breezy Westerly winds.
Highs: 16-18

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Early rain eases to the odd isolated shower and sunny spells, showers may become heavy for a time in the afternoon then clearing evening. Breezy west to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 12-15

Eastern North Island
Early rain clears then becoming mostly sunny, low risk of an isolated showers late afternoon / evening . Westerly winds.
Highs: 17-20

Wellington
Morning showers clear then expect some sun, there may be a further shower late afternoon / evening. Northwesterly winds.
High: 15

Marlborough & Nelson
Mostly sunny, cloud builds in the afternoon about Marlborough with a few isolated showers possible then clearing in the evening. Light winds, tending westerly for the most part however there may be areas of localised sea breeze.
Highs: 16-18

Canterbury
Some cloud and sunny spells, a few isolated showers possible in the afternoon. Light winds tend northeasterly in the afternoon.
Highs: 13-14

West Coast
Morning showers, possibly heavy then dry areas increasing from afternoon with sun breaking through. Overnight heavy rain moves into South Westland. Light winds tend west to southwest around midday.
Highs: 13-14

Southland & Otago
A mix of sun and cloud with light west to northwesterly winds, tending northeast in the afternoon about coastal Otago. Overnight some rain moves into Southland.
Highs: 13-15
