Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly cloudy with a few showers about Northland and Auckland, spreading southwards in the afternoon and drying in behind. Showers ease for the Waikato and Bay Of Plenty in the evening. North to northeasterly winds.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

A few showers about Taranaki spreading elsewhere in the afternoon then easing in the evening, morning sunny spells possible. Northerly winds.
Highs: 15-19

Eastern North Island

Sunny areas and increasing cloud, chance of a shower mainly later in the day. North to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 19

Wellington

Mostly cloudy with a shower or two, mainly afternoon onwards. Northerly winds.
High: 16

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny areas and increasing high cloud, north to northwesterly winds develop in the afternoon. Late evening showers for Nelson.
Highs: 16-18

Canterbury

Mostly sunny with some increasing high cloud, chance spot of rain later in the evening. Light northeasterly winds.

West Coast

Mostly cloudy, the odd shower possible more so from afternoon then some overnight rain. Northeasterly winds.
