A sunny and settled day across most of the country today under a ridge of high pressure, light winds. Some cloud about Southland, eastern parts of the North Island and Northland bring the chance of a shower or two, especially Northland this morning.

Northland

A few morning showers clear then sunny spells increasing, southeasterly winds.

Highs: 16-17

Auckland

Sunny with light south to southeasterly winds.

High: 15

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island

Sunny with light southeaterlies.

Highs: 14

Eastern North Island

Sunny spells about the Wairarapa with light south to southeasterly winds.
Cloud periods about Hawkes Bay northwards with the odd shower, clearing in the
evening.

Highs: 13-14

Western North Island

Sunny with light winds, tending southeasterly about Taranaki.

High: 14

Wellington

Sunny with light winds.

High: 12

Nelson

Sunny with light winds.

High: 13

Marlborough

Sunny with light winds.

Highs: 14

Canterbury

Sunny with light winds.

Highs: 11-12

West Coast

Sunny with light winds.

High: 12

Coastal Otago

Sunny with westerly winds.

High: 12

Central Otago

Sunny with light winds, frosty morning and night.

Highs: 5-7

Southland

Cloudy periods with the odd brief shower possible at times, westerly
winds.
