Rain warnings have this morning been issued for northern parts of the North Island as a developing low moves down from the northern Tasman Sea.
MetService has issued rain warnings for Coromandel, Bay of Plenty and Rotorua.
Up to 130mm of rain may fall over a 27 hour period starting at noon today.
