Fairly settled with high pressure covering much of New Zealand today, still there may be areas of morning cloud for some regions and even a chance of drizzle.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Sunny areas with a few isolated showers possible late afternoon / evening otherwise mainly dry. Southeasterlies this morning then afternoon east to northeast winds.
Highs: 25-26

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mainly sunny with southeasterly winds south of Taranaki, afternoon west to northwesterly elsewhere. Some cloud thickens a little towards evening.
Highs: 24-26

Eastern North Island

Cloud this morning with drizzle for some, a few sunny areas break through in the afternoon. East to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 21-23

Wellington

Sunny with gentle south to southeast breezes, dying out this evening.
High: 24

Marlborough & Nelson

Any morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, light winds then afternoon north to northeast winds.
Highs: 22-23

Canterbury

A chance of drizzle this morning then clearing, mainly about Mid and South Canterbury. Elsewhere morning cloud is possible, a few sunny areas breaking through for most this afternoon. East to northeast winds develop.
Highs: 19-23

West Coast

Mostly sunny with light west to northwest winds.
Highs: 21-25

Southland & Otago

Cloudy areas about Southland with westerly winds tending more southwest this afternoon, this is where the coolest temperatures are. Mostly sunny for Otago after any early cloud breaks away, light winds tending easterly this afternoon near the coast.
Highs: 16-25
