A ridge lies over most of the North Island tonight bringing mainly clear skies with some cloud in the west. Chance of an overnight fog patch about inland areas too. For the South Island conditions are wet in the west with dry weather out east.

Clear spells with light southwesterlies, cloud a little more frequent in the west with the chance of a light shower overnight.

Periods of cloud with light winds tending southwest, chance of a light shower overnight.

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island

Clear spells with light winds, cloud more likely in the west of the Waikato
and Central North Island. Fog patches or low cloud possible overnight.

Eastern North Island

Clear skies, northeasterlies ease this evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 6-8

Western North Island

Periods of cloud increasing this evening, chance of a light shower
overnight. Northwesterlies.

Wellington

Mainly clear skies, northerly winds.

Nelson

Mainly clear skies, light winds.

Marlborough

Clear skies, some high cloud possible overnight. Northwesterlies ease this
evening.

Areas of high cloud with light winds, easterlies near the coast ease this
evening.

Cloudy with patchy showers, areas of rain south of Hokitika. Northwesterly

Plenty of high cloud, a few showers at times in western parts of the
district (mainly west of the Southern Lakes area). West to northwest
winds.

Mostly cloudy with a few brief spells of rain possible this evening then
again towards dawn tomorrow. Northwesterly winds.
