A warm northerly airflow lies over the country on Thursday.

Sunny areas and some high cloud for most of the North Island on Thursday with warm temperatures.

Areas of rain or showers for the West Coast of the South Island, mainly dry elsewhere with some high cloud. A few isolated showers may develop in the afternoon about the ranges of North Otago then clearing in the evening.
