InfoGraphic: The Big Picture for Saturday / Sunday

A few frontal features bring cloud and some rain / showers to the South Island on Saturday meanwhile conditions are more settled further north, mainly settled on Sunday with frontal activity fizzling away.

The North Island is mainly dry on Saturday, expect plenty of cloud however with only occasional areas of sun. A morning shower or two may clip Northland. The South Island sees wetter conditions, rain may be heavy in the west then easing from afternoon. A mix of sun and cloud for Southland.

Expect a mix of sun and cloud for much of the North Island on Sunday, a few showers are possible mainly late afternoon / evening although they are more likely to occur in the morning for the east coast. Areas of cloud and sun for the South Island also, a shower or two is likely with slightly cloudier skies along the West Coast.
