A northwesterly airflow lies over New Zealand today with a front clearing eastern regions this morning and moving eastwards. A westerly quarter airflow continues on Tuesday.

Showers for most western regions today, some sun at times for the western North Island. Sunnier conditions along the eastern side of New Zealand after morning rain clears away.

A shower or two continues for western parts of the country on Tuesday, sunnier and drier in the east.
