The heavy rain in South Auckland overnight lead to a lucky escape for a police officer according to updates on Twitter.
WeatherWatch.co.nz twitter follower Dave Poole sent us this tweet on Wednesday afternoon following the deluge in South Auckland overnight.
It clearly shows a police car submerged in flood waters.
NZ Police did not respond to our tweet request on if the officer was ok, but we assume he was.
“Poor bugger got swept off road. Clung to a tree” wrote Dave.
