A ridge of high pressure brings mainly settled weather to most of New Zealand today, a low to the north of the North Island brings showers or some rain to the northeast of the North Island.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly cloudy with patchy rain or showers / drizzle, about southern Auckland conditions may be a bit drier then further north. The Waikato and eastern Bay Of Plenty is mainly dry, perhaps the risk of a shower otherwise mainly dry. Easterly winds.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly sunny with light easterly quarter winds.
Highs: 13-16

Eastern North Island
Sunny spells, could be a shower or two mainly about Gisborne where conditions may be a bit cloudier. East to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 13-14

Wellington
Sunny, light easterly quarter winds.
Highs: 14-15

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny with light afternoon north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 14-16

Canterbury
Morning cloud then mostly sunny, light east to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 12-13

West Coast
A mainly sunny day, some cloud about southern Fiordland may bring a shower or two. Could be some early morning low cloud or fog about inland sheltered valleys or basins, especially inland Buller. Light winds.
Highs: 13-15

Southland & Otago
Sunny spells about Southland, Otago has a mainly sunny day after any morning cloud clears. Light northerlies.
Highs: 10-13
