Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly sunny, a chance of low cloud or fog morning and night. Light winds, afternoon sea breezes for a time.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly cloudy in the morning with the chance of a drizzle patch, a few afternoon sunny spells possible. West to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 20-22

Eastern North Island

Sunny with some high cloud later in the day, light northeasterly winds.
Highs: 23-24

Wellington
Sunny spells, cloud increases from afternoon. Increasing north to northwesterly winds.

High: 19

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny with high cloud increasing from afternoon, north to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 22-27

Canterbury

Morning low cloud or fog breaks to mostly sunny weather and increasing high cloud, light winds may tend southerly in the afternoon south of Banks Peninsula.
Highs: 23-25

West Coast

Mostly cloudy, the odd drizzle patch in the morning then clearing away. Showers about Fiordland for much of the day, rain about southern Fiordland may be heavy at times. North to northwesterly winds

Southland & Otago

Areas of rain or drizzle about coastal Southland. Elsewhere is mostly cloudy but dry, chance of an overnight shower. Southerly winds tending northerly about central Otago.
