High pressure covers most of New Zealand again today, a front does affect the lower South Island, however, bringing some rain.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly cloudy for Auckland and the Waikato, sunny areas about the Bay Of Plenty and Northland. West to southwesterly winds.

Highs: 19-22

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly cloudy with sun possible at times, sun more likely for eastern parts of the Central North Island. West to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 18-19

Eastern North Island

Sunny with light winds, tending onshore in the afternoon.
Highs: 20-22

Wellington

Mostly sunny with breezy northerly winds, changing southerly overnight.
High: 19

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny with mainly light winds, perhaps tending onshore in the afternoon. Winds tend southerly later in the evening about Marlborough with cloud then building overnight.
Highs: 21-24

Canterbury

Mostly sunny with light winds, a late afternoon or evening southerly change brings some cloud.
Highs: 22-23

West Coast

Areas of cloud with southwesterly winds, Fiordland sees some rain with northwesterly winds.
Highs 16-17

Southland & Otago

Cloudy about Southland with some rain developing late morning as breezy northwesterly winds change lighter southwest. Rain clears later in the evening. For Otago, expect sunny areas and thickening high cloud, some rain late afternoon or evening as that southwest change moves through.
