Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Cloudy to start with the chance of a shower then breaking to sunny areas, breezy west to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 20-22

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Cloudy with patchy showers or some rain, rain picks up in intensity later in the evening. Breezy west to northwesterly winds change southerly overnight.
Highs: 16-18

Eastern North Island

High cloud with gusty northwesterly winds, spots of rain spreading into the Wairarapa at times. Later in the evening and overnight some rain moves through on a southerly wind change.
Highs: 22-25

Wellington

Mostly cloudy with increasing northwesterly winds, some rain from late afternoon then clearing overnight.
High: 15

Marlborough & Nelson

Thick high cloud with light northwest winds, some rain moves in during the afternoon then clears later in the evening with a southerly change.
Highs: 17-19

Canterbury

A mainly cloudy day with light winds.
High: 13-14

West Coast

Mostly cloudy with west to southwest winds, some rain moves in Greymouth northwards in the afternoon then clears later in the evening.
Highs: 13-14

Southland & Otago

High cloud increases with northwesterly winds, afternoon showers with a gusty southwest change. Showers clear in the evening.
Highs: 12-15
