Fog has rolled in this morning and is delaying flights from Christchurch airport.

Some inbound and outbound flights have been affected and low cloud combined with the fog is making conditions marginal at best.

Some flights have been delayed by 90 minutes but it is forecast to clear later this morning and there are already signs of a gradual improvement.
Pockets of blue sky are covering parts of the city however foggy and low cloud patches are also prevalent.

Ten days ago the fogbank didn’t lift until midday with the backlog finally cleared by later in the day.

Hamilton is also in the midst of fog however most flights appear to be on time but there have been three cancelled flights.
