Earthquake jolts lower North Island

An earthquake measuring 5.4 has hit 10kms north west of Masterton this afternoon reports

GeoNet confirmed the quake as being 30kms deep and felt widely across the lower North Island.

GeoNet says minor damage is possible around central Wairarapa.
