Auckland feels the heat today + stuffy night tonight

Aucklanders are sweltering under their hottest day since April according to

While Auckland uses several weather observations across the city, the Whenuapai weather station recorded 24.6 degrees today – which is rounded up to 25 for the media.  (If 24.4 it would be rounded down to 24).

Cloudy skies, which were predicted earlier in the day by, faded earlier in the day allowing for plenty of sun and sea breezes to kick things up a notch.

Hi Dave – thanks for the temp!

These messy systems are the hardest to forecast as they are so slow moving and fickle.  Offically wasn’t as warm as both WW and MS predicted due to cloud cover taking longer to arrive last night.

This Saturday night is looking warmer though.
