A warm day for most

> From the WeatherWatch archives

It’s been a warm day for most of New Zealand thanks to mainly clear skies and light winds.

Today’s Highs show many North Island centres climbing in to the late teens with the top high being 18 in Kaitaia and Kawerau.  A string of 17s and 16s were recorded in northern and western regions including as far south as New Plymouth and Wanganui with 13s and 15s for much of the rest of New Zealand.

Canterbury was the coolest region with just 10 in Timaru and 12 in Christchurch.

Check out all of today’s highs here.

Don’t forget the Daily Highs come to you first between 4:15 and 4:45 every afternoon – so why wait until the 6pm news!
