Auckland & Northland
Periods of cloud with occasional showers, some may be briefly heavy with some small hail. Breezy westerlies tend a little more southwest overnight.

Bay Of Plenty

Clear spells, chance of a shower or two otherwise mainly dry. Westerlies.
Tonight’s Lows: 4-5

Waikato & Central North Island

Occasional showers, some may be briefly heavy with small hail. Some snow
about the Central Plateau to 700m. Westerlies.
Tonight’s Lows: 2-4

Eastern North Island

Mainly clear with a few clouds about, west to southwest winds. Showers move
into Wairarapa later this evening / overnight with a southwest change, showers
may be heavy with a chance of hail.
Tonight’s Lows: 4-5

Western North Island

Occasional showers with a chance of hail, westerly winds. Winds tending a
little more southwest overnight about Taranaki with showers potentially clearing
from northern parts of the region.
Tonight’s Lows: 3-6

Wellington

Clear spells with northwesterly winds, brisk southerlies develop this
evening with showers. Showers may be heavy with hail then easing
overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 3-4

Nelson

Clear spells, light west to southwest winds. Chance of a shower or two this
evening, mainly inland. Skies becoming mainly clear by dawn.
Tonight’s Low: 1

Marlborough

Some cloud with westerly winds, there may be a few showers for a time this
evening with snow flurries to 500m especially about Southern Marlborough. Skies
mostly clearing up by dawn tomorrow.
Tonight’s Low: -2

Canterbury

Showers, mainly about inland areas clearing later this evening / overnight.
A few showers affect most other areas for a time this evening then clearing
later. Chance of small hail with any showers and snow flurries to 300m.

West Coast

Any remaining showers about North Westland clear this evening, clear skies
overnight with light southwesterlies.
Tonight’s Lows: 0-1

Coastal Otago

Clear spells, chance of a brief shower or two. Westerly winds.
Tonight’s Low: 2

Central Otago

Any remaining showers clearing this evening, mainly clear skies overnight
with cold temperatures.
Tonight’s Low: -3

Southland

The odd shower, small hail and a few snow flurries to 200m clearing this
evening with southwesterlies easing later. Cloud builds overnight with showers
again towards dawn tomorrow.
