An anticyclone remains in control for most of the South Island and lower North Island tonight meaning settled conditions. An easterly airflow over the upper North Island brings some cloud, a few showers possible mainly about Northland.

Northland

Cloudy areas with breezy easterly winds, a few patchy showers about.

Tonight’s Lows: 11-12

Auckland

Mostly cloudy with breezy easterlies, chance of a light shower mainly in the north.

Tonight’s Low: 10-11

Bay Of Plenty

Cloudy periods with easterly winds.

Tonight’s Low: 8

Waikato & Central North Island

Clear spells, areas of cloud about for some. Light easterly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 2-5

Eastern North Island

Cloudy periods with light winds tending easterly, chance of an overnight drizzle patch otherwise dry.

Taranaki

Mainly clear skies, a touch of high cloud. Light winds.

Mainly clearwith some high cloud, easterlies ease this evening.

Mainly clear skies this evening, some cloud develops overnight with drizzle possible towards dawn north of Banks Peninsula. South Canterbury and parts of Mid Canterbury may remain clear all night.
