A ridge hangs onto the North Island tonight bringing settled weather however a front moves onto Southland and Otago signaling a cool change is on the way.

Northland

Some cloud with light southeasterlies, clear spells too.

Tonight’s Lows: 14-16

Auckland

A few clouds clearing away to a mainly clear night, sea breezes ease this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 16

Central North Island, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mainly clear skies with light winds, northerlies about the Bay Of Plenty
ease this evening. Chance of a fog patch overnight for some inland areas.

Tonight’s Lows: 11-14

Eastern North Island

Mainly clear skies with east to northeast breezes easing later this
evening. Light winds overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 13-14

Western North Island

Mainly clear skies with westerlies easing this evening. Some cloud moves in
overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 12-13

Wellington

Mainly clear skies with northerly winds, some cloud develops
overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 15-16

Nelson

Clear skies with northerlies easing this evening, light winds
overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 13-14

Marlborough

Clear skies, breezy northwesterlise ease this evening. Some high cloud
develops overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 13

Canterbury

Clear skies with some high cloud developing from this evening, easterly
winds ease near the coast. Northwesterlies inland.

Tonight’s Low: 14

West Coast

Rain moves into Fiordland this evening with northwesterly winds, cloud
increases further north with rain moving into South Westland overnight.

Coastal Otago

High cloud with northerly winds, a southwest change overnight brings some
rain.

Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Central Otago

High cloud with north to northwesterly winds, overnight winds change
southwest with showers.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-10

Southland

High cloud with northerlies, winds change southwest this evening with rain
then easing to showers overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 8
