Upper South Island

High cloud with light winds, southerlies about Canterbury from afternoon bring some
lower level cloudy areas.

Lower South Island

Cloudy on the West Coast south of Hokitika with rain, easing to showers in the afternoon. Drizzle
patches about Southland and Otago in the morning with southerlies then clearing
by midday with clear spells and high cloud, northerlies by evening.
