Napier and Hastings are feeling the warmth this morning with Napier on 28 degrees and Hastings not too far behind on 26.
Most of the North Island is in the 20s and its expected to stay there for for folk for much of the day.

Over the mainland and the hot spots are Blenheim and Alexandra on 25 and the coolest centre is Gore with a nippy sou’ west breeze and just 12 degrees.
