A ridge lies over the North Island tonight bringing mainly settled weather although cloud does build up in the southwest due to a front moving north over the South Island. The front over the South Island brings some rain mainly to the west and south with only a few showers making it up the east coast north of Otago.
Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island
Plenty with westerlies easing there this evening.
Eastern North Island
Hawkes Bay overnight, west to northwest winds ease this evening.
Western North Island
dawn tomorrow morning.
Wellington
showers move in overnight.
Nelson
shower towards dawn tomorrow.
Marlborough
bringing some cloud and the chance of a brief shower or two around dawn
tomorrow.
Canterbury
change to southwesterlies overnight brings some cloud and the chance of a few
showers, more so towards the coast.
West Coast
overnight to showers as northerlies change westerly.
Coastal Otago
overnight. Southwesterly winds.
Central Otago
Southland
winds.
