West to southwest winds ease over the country tonight, conditions are still fairly cool especially about southern New Zealand.

Auckland & Northland
Clear spells and some cloud, southwesterly breezes ease later this evening. A few showers move through Northland this evening but they will only be light.

Tonight’s Lows: 14-16

Central North Island, Waikato
& Bay Of Plenty

Clear spells and some cloud, west to southwest breezes ease this evening
and light winds develop overnight. Southwesterlies may continue to puff along a
little about the Bay Of Plenty however.

Tonight’s Lows: 8-12

Eastern North Island

Mainly clear skies overnight with westerly winds easing this evening, some
cloud about the Wairarapa clearing this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 11-12

Western North Island

Clear spells and some cloud with strong westerlies easing this evening.
Skies mainly clear overnight for northern Taranaki.

Tonight’s Low: 11-12

Wellington

Areas of cloud with southerly breezes easing this evening, winds tend
northerly overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 12-13

Nelson

Mainly clear skies overnight, west to southwest winds ease this evening and
becoming light.

Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Marlborough

Cloud clearing this evening, easterly winds ease with light winds
overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 8-9

Canterbury

East to northeast winds ease this evening near the coast, light winds
overnight. Clear spells with some cloud.

Tonight’s Lows: 7-8

West Coast

Cool west to southwest winds, cloudy periods with the odd shower at times.
Long dry spells too.

Tonight’s Low: 8-10

Coastal Otago

The odd shower clearing this evening although a few may remain about the
Catlins, cold west to southwest winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 8-9

Central Otago

Showers clearing from most areas this evening although the odd one may
continue in the west of the region. Cool west to southwest winds ease.

Tonight’s Low: 7

Southland

The odd shower with brisk cold westerly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 7-8
