Friday’s national forecast

Weak weather systems will continue to keep the weather unsettled for much of the country today.

The best chance for precipitation will lie across Hawkes Bay, Gisborne, Wairarapa and Wellington.  The rest of the North Island will run a small chance for seeing showers today.  However, there is also a pretty good shot at some decent sunshine as well.

For the South Island, chances for precipitation can be found all over.  The best chance for seeing showers looks to be about the West Coast, Nelson and Marlborough.  The rest of the island could still see some showers today, but the chances are a bit diminished.
