A front moves over the North Island tonight bringing a narrow band of rain and a southwesterly wind change. For the South Island expect cool conditions for inland areas overnight as winds ease.

Northland

Clear spells and a few clouds about, cloud increases overnight. Light westerly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 12-14

Auckland

Periods of cloud with the odd shower possible, westerly winds. Odd shower possible towards dawn tomorrow.

Tonight’s Lows: 14-15

Bay Of Plenty

Periods of cloud with westerly winds, showers towards dawn tomorrow.

Tonight’s Lows: 14-15

Waikato & Central North Island

Cloudy areas with the odd shower. Rain moves through overnight then
clearing around dawn tomorrow with a southwest change.

Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Eastern North Island

High cloud thickens this evening with northwesterly winds, a few spots of
rain possible around midnight. Winds change southwest overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Western North Island

Rain this evening easing then clearing later, brisk westerlies tend
southwest overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 8-10

Wellington

Clear spells increasing, strong northerly winds gusting to gale force at
times ease this evening. Winds tend southerly by midnight.

Tonight’s Low: 10

Nelson

Skies becoming clear this evening, cool southwesterlies ease
overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 6-7

Marlborough

Clear skies with southwesterlies tending southerly overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 4-6

Canterbury

Cool southwesterlies this evening for a time brings some cloud then
clearing, light winds overnight and cold temperatures.

Tonight’s Lows: 3-5

West Coast

Remaining showers clear this evening, clear spells then increase.
Southwesterlies ease overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 6-7

Coastal Otago

Showers mostly clearing this evening although the odd one could remain till
overnight, gusty west to southwest winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 8-9

Central Otago

Showers clear this evening, cloud gradually decreases. West to southwest
winds ease overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 3-4

Southland

Showers ease this evening, brisk to strong westerly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 7-8
