An anticyclone covers the upper North Island tonight bringing mainly settled weather. Elsewhere has a gentle north to northwesterly airflow. While settled there will be plenty of cloud about some South Island areas.

Auckland & Northland

Clear areas and some cloud, southwesterlies ease this evening. Light winds overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 11-13

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island

Clear skies, west to southwest winds ease this evening. Northerlies ease about the Bay Of Plenty. Expect some cloud about western Waikato near the coast.

Tonight’s Lows: 7-12

Eastern North Island

Mainly clear skies with southerly winds easing, cloud about Gisborne clears this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Western North Island

Mainly clear skies, easterlies ease this evening. Light winds overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 11-12

Wellington

Areas of cloud with northerly winds.

Tonight’s Low: 14

Nelson

Cloudy areas with northerlies easing this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 12-13

Marlborough

Mainly clear with some high cloud, northeasterlies ease this evening.

Canterbury

Skies becoming mostly cloudy for all this evening, easterly winds ease.

West Coast

Mostly cloudy with Light winds, chance of a drizzle patch (mainly about Fiordland).

Coastal Otago

Mostly cloudy with light easterlies.

Central Otago

High cloud with light winds.

Southland

Mostly cloudy with westerly winds easing this evening.
