Settled weather over the country tonight thanks to an anticyclone. Expect high cloud over the lower half of the South Island and low cloud about the Canterbury plains.

Auckland & Northland

Clear with a few clouds, southwesterlies ease this evening and winds tend light southerly overnight. Sea breezes about Northlands east coast ease this evening.

Central North Island, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mainly clear skies with westerlies easing this evening, light winds overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-14

Eastern North Island

Clear skies with easterly breezes easing this evening, light winds
overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 13-14

Western North Island

Mainly clear skies with westerlies easing this evening, light winds
overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 9-10

Wellington

Mainly clear skies with northerly winds.

Nelson

Clear skies with northerlies easing this evening, light winds
overnight.

easterlies ease a little overnight.

Mainly clear skies with high cloud thickening about Fiordland and South
Westland from this evening. Southwesterlies.

Coastal Otago

Areas of high cloud increase from this evening, northeasterly
breezes.

Central Otago

High cloud increases with west to southwest winds easing this evening,
light winds overnight.

Southland

Areas of high cloud thicken overnight, southwesterlies ease tending light
northeast later.
