Daily Debrief – SUNDAY

WeatherWatch.co.nz

Dry in northern, central and southern areas with some sunshine today but a few eastern districts had the southerly tapping away with a few showers. It was very chilly in some parts of Canterbury, Otago and Southland and more like a day in late May.

Tonight should continue on with that cool trend and Monday looks a little brighter in Otago and Southland but from Gisborne to Canterbury, a few showers are likely with a southerly wind and once again, very cool temperatures in the south.

Most other areas should see sunny skies with pleasant daytime temperatures and not too much wind. There is a chance of early showers in some central areas but they should dry up by late tomorrow morning.

The high today went to Kaitaia with 25 and the low of 11 was in Christchurch, Dunedin and Darfield (about 7-8 degrees below average).
