Those nor’westers bumped up the temps in the east coast today. Tomorrow a sou’west change will bring a slight cooling to many areas, especially inland and western regions.

Invercargill had an impressive thunderstorm between 6 and 7pm, Came with very heavy rain at its peak 8mm in a 5 minute period acorrrding to my davis wx station. Came with Pea sized Hail and caused some localised flooding. Temp dropped from 18c to 10c.

we had a max temp of 28.5 degrees here in Orewa today. Fantastic day with a lovely sea breeze and occasional clouds to help keep the temp down. however I am looking forward to a bit of rain!!!!!
