As of 2024 we will no longer be publishing questions related to weather forecasts if they are answered via our hyper-local hourly & 10 day forecasts, weather maps and regular daily and monthly weather & climate videos.
We’re a small NZ business with limited resources to respond to general weather questions. Our social media pages may be helpful to you, especially if you want to often talk (or groan!) about your local weather. You can find more resources from us here if that’s your thing.

You’ve had more rain than usual – so you’re fine. https://niwa.co.nz/climate-and-weather/daily-climate-maps

Phil I realise that the forecast for Waharoa is auto generated but when I did CPL MET exams I learnt that we are unlikely to get fog with breezy winds.

Hi Christoper – take a look at our fog graphs here, as it breaks down the specific risk times and only generates when winds are below 8km/h. https://www.ruralweather.co.nz/forecasts/Waharoa,%20Waikato Note: Fog messaging can also be for low cloud just above the ground.
Cheers
