Hi Jet, take a look at the satellite map β at the end you can see a clear line moving into Nelson. https://www.weatherwatch.co.nz/maps-radars/observations/satellite

Josh, Latest news from ENSO blog says La Nina has ended. Neutral conditions predicted.https://www.climate.gov/news-features/blogs/enso.
My opinion (WW will correct me if Iβm wrong) is the Tasman Sea, Coral Sea and Western Pacific Ocean are very warm atm https://www.ospo.noaa.gov/products/ocean/sst/anomaly/ . Seas with very warm temperature anomalies increases the chances of breeding depressions. I think we are experiencing one of these events atm.

Hi Josh
Yes, Auckland is looking very wild. We are supposed to get thunderstorms in Hamilton over the weekend, but Iβm not holding my breath. Itβs Hamilton, after all. Iβll let you know.
PS: I hope you get some T-storms with this cyclone tail as well. Happy Easter to you too.

Heading to Doubtless Bay for Easter. Was looking forward to getting out on the water to fish. Not so sure now, what sea state will be. Any idea as to swell conditions in Doubtless Bay over Easter period?
