A large high is rolling in from Australia and apart from brisk south to south west winds and a few showers on Monday and perhaps Tuesday the next few days looks fairly sunny and dry for most regions.

The high remains in charge until the end of the week, when a weak low in the Tasman may spread a few showers eastwards across the country.
